Early in the morning of April 5, 2010, Soley gave birth to five beautiful baby boys. All are doing well and gaining weight. As of this writing, their weight has more than doubled. Soley is a great mom and very attentive to her babies. She had to be forced to leave them for just a few minutes the first few days to take care of her own needs. She is now able to leave them for very brief periods of time, but checks on them every 5-10 minutes. Soley is shown above resting with the puppies shortly after their birth. More recent pictures of the puppies are shown below. The picture of three together are from left to right the 4th, 5th and 2nd to be born. The picture of two together are the 1st and 3rd born. Soley and I are currently reviewing Icelandic names and deciding which will be appropriate for each of the boys.
Congratulations, Susan! Tenzing looks like a lovely boy. Can't wait to see what the puppies look like as they get older!
